Tour Lake County’s Wine Country on foot!

We will start at Grand River Cellars at 1 PM on Sunday September 22, 2019 and run the scenic and fun 6 mile route to Debonne Vineyards where you will enjoy a wine tasting and appetizer with good friends!

When you are ready to head out, hop on the shuttle for a return trip to Grand River Cellars. Upon your return enter through the cellar door and you will be able to enjoy appetizers or a light dessert and your favorite vintage don’t forget to head upstairs to shop for your favorite bottle to take home! – Feel free to order from the menu and stay for dinner!

As a caution this fun run will be held on open roads and it is expected that all participants follow standard pedestrian traffic laws. The event is limited to 200 participants and a waiting list will start once the event fills up.

11:30 AM – check in at Grand River Cellars – NEW THIS YEAR!- Mimosas will be sold at the bar inside!

1:00 PM – Pop the cork! -Run starts- NEW THIS YEAR!- Party zones along the course, stop and take a photo or hang out for music and fun!

1:30-2:30 PM – Runners arrive at Debonne Vineyards – Course Map (subject to change)

2:00 PM – Limo Bus starts to shuttle back to Grand River Cellars- Continuous until 3:30pm – Back at GRC you will be able to sample Appetizers and desserts while enjoying a glass of wine!

Crafts & Corks Crawl at Grand River Cellars & Debonne Vineyards

Murder Mystery Dinner Theater is coming to Grand River Cellars!

Join us for a series of three unfortunate murders this fall! Visit Grand River Cellars and see if you can catch the elusive killer.  The Vintage Murders performances include dinner, clues, entertainment, and your chance for great prizes when you place your best guess for Whodunit!? Grand River Cellars and Debonne Vineyards are partnering up with a Wine Wednesday Crush Package

1 p.m. Start at Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant for a food and wine experience in the Wine Cave featuring 4 small plates paired with 4 wines. In addition, taste two samples of fresh pressed juice from the harvest that week. Come early and enjoy a light lunch before your tasting.

2 p.m. Drive down the road to Debonne Vineyards for a tour and tasting. Enjoy the sights and especially the smells of the harvest crush. Your tour will include grape pressing (if weather permits), the processing facility and the juice house and finish with 4 wine samples. Debonne Vineyards is also home to Double Wing Brewing Co. so you may want to enjoy some brews as well.

A PROGRESSIVE WINE TASTING EVENT
Join us for our 8th annual event as we pop the cork on our vintage
“Cask 1019″. 12pm– 5:00 PM, $6.00 per person at each winery. The cask project began as an idea in 2010 to have a continual red blend from the Grand River Valley.  Each year a percentage of the wine will be bottled and sold to make room for the next year’s harvest.  The date on the bottle represents the year it began “10″ and the year it was bottled “19″.  Each winery used a different 500 gallon oak barrel with vinifera grapes from their farm.
Join Debonne Vineyards, Ferrante Winery, Grand River Cellars, Laurello Vineyards, and St. Joseph Vineyards for an afternoon of wine sampling and tasty appetizers.

Zuber Family Fundraiser

In April, Andrea Zuber, was given the shocking news that she had been diagnosed with cancer.  Andrea has an extremely rare form of bone cancer, Ewing’s Sarcoma, which affects approximately only 25 adults per year in the United States.

Her husband Nick is a good friend of the staff at GRC and we will be hosting a spaghetti fundraiser on Tuesday July 9th to help them raise money towards the costs of treatments. Dinner will include spaghetti, homemade sauce, meatballs, salad and a roll.

Andrea and her amazing husband Nick have two sweet little boys, Andrew and Owen. She will be out of work for approximately one year as she undergoes treatment which will consist of many rounds of chemotherapy and surgery.

We hope that you are able to join us on the 9th to celebrate and support this wonderful family.

Bring your four-legged friend along for a tour of the vineyards at Grand River Cellars while you enjoy a wine tasting, live music, the chance to win great prizes in various auctions and raffles, games and contests, and much more! There will be some seating available under the tents, but guests are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and canopies to set up on the lawn.

Admission is $20 in advance (advance registration must be done by Thursday, June 13th at midnight) and $25 the day of at the door. Admission includes entry into the event and a Muddy Paws wine sampling (for adults 21 and over). $1 from EVERY bottle and 25¢ from every glass of wine sold at the event benefits our shelter. Food is available for purchase and can be enjoyed outside on the lawn (weather permitting). No outside food or beverage is permitted. Limited VIP tickets are also available for $40 which includes 30 minute early entry, VIP reserved seating under a tent, 5 raffle tickets, a glass of wine and Muddy Paws wine samples.

We are excited to introduce Jen McKibben as our new Brushes & Lushes artist.  She is an art teacher with the Madison Schools and is excited to take over!  Jen will teach you to paint, entertain you, and enjoy wine along the way. The fee is 30$ per person or $25 for children and young adults (12-20) OR for non-wine drinkers. Your supplies will be included in the price as well as a glass of wine. All class registrations are non-refundable and may not be applied toward another class or event.  If you’re unable to attend a class you’ve registered for, you’re welcome to send someone in your place. Yoga at the Vineyard

Please plan to join us at Grand River Cellars for a morning of bliss.
The cost of each yoga class is $15 and includes a glass of wine following the class.
This is a basic level of yoga, you will need to provide your own mat. The yoga class will last for one hour and the mingling can last for as long as you’d like.
This experience is a wonderful way to relax yourself right into a perfect Sunday afternoon.  We always have a good time and it’s a great opportunity for you to form new friendships and spend time with like-minded folks.
