Learn a little about beach glass and make a beach glass framed art piece and drink some wine!

Everyone will be given 2 wooden blanks, measuring 4” x 4”,  which are pre-drilled, stained, and strung with twine so they are ready to hang. Participants will decorate blanks with beach glass and embellishments, which is provided by the instructor. Brown, white, and green beach glass are provided for class use, but participants are welcome to bring their favorite beach glass finds if they prefer to incorporate their own instead.

What happens when you gather the freshest fir, pine, cedar, juniper, winterberries, boxwood, eucalyptus, cones and other fun materials, plus a wreath base, wire, YOU, and expert instruction on a Sunday afternoon in November?  Everyone goes home with a fabulous fresh wreath that will stay vibrant on your door throughout the winter!  Join us at Grand River Cellars for Wreaths and Wine on Sunday November 13^th at 2pm for 90 minutes of creative fun.  You’ll learn a simple technique for making this winter wreath from longtime wreath maker, Maggie Fusco of The Wood Road Salad Farm in Madison.  Maggie has been making winter wreaths with fresh materials for over 20 years, creating outdoor winter planters for clients in both public and private spaces, and leading workshops for garden clubs.  Class is limited to 25.  Fee is $50 which includes all materials plus a glass of wine at the end to toast your success!

Finished wreath sizes are 20”-22”.  Wreaths made using these materials will look similar but not exactly.  Everyone makes it their own!

Have you ever asked yourself what wines pair with Thanksgiving dinner?  This is a tricky question, with all the complex yet traditional flavors of the holiday picking the perfect wine for your table may be more challenging than you think, hence how this event came about.

The Winegrowers of the Grand River Valley take out all the guessing when it comes to selecting the right wine for your feast.  From Gewurztraminers, Rieslings, and Dry Rosé wines to more nontraditional wines like wines infused with flavors of cranberries there is something for everyone’s table!

This event is hosted during the Fall in November right before the holiday season.

Join Debonné Vineyards, Ferrante Winery & Ristorante, Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant, Laurello Vineyards, & Cask 307 Winery for an afternoon of wine sampling paired with the Thanksgiving meal.

Patrons will visit each of the five wineries in any order they choose. Each winery will provide samples of their wines along with a delicious appetizer. Area maps will be provided at all wineries to help patrons plan their trail.

Cost is $8 per person at each winery. Price includes wine samples, hearty appetizers, and recipes. Each winery will make a monetary contribution to the local food banks in the area.

Drive down the road to Debonne Vineyards for a tour and tasting. Enjoy the sights and smells of the harvest crush! Your tour will include grape pressing (if weather permits), the processing facility and the juice house. Finish with 4 wine samples & two juice samples!

When do I make my dinner reservations? You can make dinner reservations at any time at Grand River Cellars by calling 440-298-9838.  Mention that you are part of the dinner & thrill package when making the reservation.  Give yourself about 2 hours for dining time.  Just note, reservations do fill up very quickly and we may have only certain times available.  The Haunted Winery is open from 7pm – 11 pm.  You must arrive to Regal Vineyards before 10 pm.
