Beach Glass Art Class

Join Delinda Mariani from Stella Art Gallery in Willoughby to learn a little about beach glass and make a beach glass art piece.  You will be provided with all the materials needed to create your very own artwork, or participants may bring in their own beach glass for the class or even just for show and tell. Harvest Crush Tour & Tasting with Grand River Cellars & Debonne Vineyards
A great way to experience Harvest in the Grand River Valley! $40 per person.

Start at 1pm at Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant for a food and wine experience in the Wine Cave featuring 4 small bites expertly paired with 4 wines plus 2 fresh pressed juices from that week’s harvest. Come early and enjoy a light lunch before your tasting!

Drive down the road to Debonné Vineyards for a tour and tasting. Enjoy the sights and smells of the harvest crush! Your tour will include grape pressing (if the weather permits), the processing facility and the juice house. Finish with 4 wine samples & two juice samples! A limited number of openings are available for each date.

Needle Felted Owl Fiber Painting

Learn how to Needle Felt this Owl with Nancy. Use dyed fibers to “paint” an owl. We will use felting needles and wool roving to create the owl.

All supplies included in the fee. Cost is $41 per person and includes a glass of wine, beer or mocktail.

Nancy Nelson-Brotz is an award-winning artist as well as an instructor from Stella’s Art Gallery as well as being the Visual Art Director for the Ashtabula Arts Association (teaching, coordinating classes, and outreach). She has worked outreach programs at many local schools, senior centers, and camps. Her mediums include oil pastels, needle felting, and mosaics among others. She has spent years exploring and teaching many mediums of art.

Yoga at the Vineyard

Start your Sunday at Grand River Cellars with the help of Ginny Brennan, from Illumin8 for a morning of calm and bliss.

The cost of each yoga class is $21.00 and includes a glass of wine following the class. This is a basic level of yoga; you will need to provide your own mat. The yoga class will last for one hour and the mingling can last for as long as you’d like.

This experience is a wonderful way to start off your day and relax right into a perfect Sunday afternoon.  We always have a good time and it’s a great opportunity for you to form new friendships and spend time with like-minded folks.

Lavender & Libations

Lavender and Libations: a summer wreath class with Maggie Fusco, longtime wreath maker and proprietor of The Wood Road Salad Farm in Madison, who has been growing lavender and making wreaths and other crafts with it for 20 years on the farm.

How can you have the beauty and fragrance of fresh lavender last for years?  Make a wreath with it! In this class on Sunday August 3rd from 1-3pm you’ll learn a simple technique to create a wreath made with this year’s crop of fresh lavender harvested each year in July.  Class size is limited to 25.  Fee is $60 which includes all materials plus a glass of wine to toast your success! It takes A LOT of lavender to make a nice full wreath like this but everyone takes one home with a finished size of 15”-18”!

Pressed Flower Flamingo Paint & Sip

Join your artist Cory at Grand River Cellars in Madison on July 13th to create your own beautiful flamingo art with the use of real pressed flowers and acrylic paints!
You will be working on an 11″x14″ watercolor paper. Cory will start the class by explaining the process and giving demonstrations. You will begin with a light sketch of a flamingo. From there you will follow your artist step by step as we water down the acrylics to blend out a tropical beach back drop before adding the flowers and ferns to the painting.
You will apply the pink flowers and ferns as you wish to add texture and color. This will then be complete when you add it to your 11″x14″ wooden frame which is provided.
You will leave with a beautiful and unique framed arrangement that you can display in your home or office. The frame can either be set on a table or hung up.
Your ticket includes all materials and step by step instructions, and your first drink from Grand River Cellars.

Pressed Flower Flickering Lantern-SOLD OUT!

THIS CLASS IS SOLD OUT!
We invite you to join your artist Cory of Grass Root Designs at Grand River Cellars in Madison on June 29th for a fun filled afternoon as you craft your own light up glass floral pressed lantern!
You will begin with your own 3.5″ x 7″ glass tear drop terrarium container in which you will turn into a beautiful hanging or tabletop lantern. One by one you will pick and choose what flowers you’d like to use on your Lantern and where they are placed. Inside we will be adding decorative stones, preserved mosses, and a battery-operated flickering candle for the final touch. There will be adorable leaf twine available if you choose to turn yours into a hanging light.

Your ticket includes all materials, instructions, and your first drink from Grand Cellars. (wine, or beer)
