Holiday Table Arrangements and Wine

Join us at Grand River Cellars Sunday November 23rd at 3pm for 90 minutes of creative fun arranging the freshest assortment of holiday greenery, berries, cones, and more into a long-lasting arrangement for your holiday table.  Greens arranged in a wet floral foam will remain fresh throughout the holiday season, just water like a houseplant!  You’ll learn basic design and materials techniques for making table arrangements from long-time wreath maker, Maggie Fusco of The Wood Road Salad Farm in Madison.  Maggie has been making winter wreaths, swags, and table arrangements with fresh materials for over 20 years, plus creating outdoor winter planters for clients in both public and private spaces, and leading workshops for garden clubs.  Class is limited to 25.  $55 fee includes the container, wet floral foam, and all the materials needed to fill it plus a glass of wine to enjoy!

Class begins promptly at 3pm.  Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of time to check in and receive your complimentary glass of wine.  Winery opens at noon for lunch before class and is open until 8pm for more food, fun, and wine after class!

Finished arrangement sizes are 14”-18” high and wide.  Materials vary each year, will look similar to but not exactly like the photo, are always beyond the ordinary. Each participant makes it their own!

Wreaths and Wine

What happens when you gather the freshest fir, pine, cedar, juniper, winterberries, boxwood, eucalyptus, cones and other fun materials, plus a wreath base, wire, YOU, and expert instruction on a Sunday afternoon in November?  Everyone goes home with a fabulous fresh wreath that will stay vibrant on your door outside throughout the winter!  Join us at Grand River Cellars for Wreaths and Wine on Sunday November 23rd at 1pm for 90 minutes of creative fun.  You’ll learn a simple technique for making this winter wreath from longtime wreath maker, Maggie Fusco of The Wood Road Salad Farm in Madison.  Maggie has been making winter wreaths with fresh materials for over 20 years, creating outdoor winter planters for clients in both public and private spaces, and leading workshops for garden clubs.  Class is limited to 25.  Fee is $60 which includes all materials plus a glass of wine to enjoy!

Grinchmas Bar!

Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant transforms into the festive Grinchmas Bar during the holiday season, offering a whimsical escape inspired by Dr. Seuss’s famous green grouch. Decked out in vibrant, over-the-top Christmas decor, the pop-up bar creates a playful atmosphere perfect for holiday cheer (or mischief). Guests can enjoy specialty cocktails with creative names along with themed food dishes from the Whoobilation Menu—featuring clever takes on classic comfort food. Whether you’re looking to toast the holidays or channel your inner Grinch, this seasonal experience brings fun and flavor to everyone on both the naughty and nice lists.

After visiting us, get in your sleigh and visit our sister winery Debonne Vineyards just over the river and through the woods.

Check websites for hours at each winery. All wineries are closed on Thanksgiving. Have you ever asked yourself what wines pair with Thanksgiving dinner?  This is a tricky question. With all the complex yet traditional flavors of the holiday, picking the perfect wine for your table may be more challenging than you think, hence how this event came about.

The Winegrowers of the Grand River Valley take out all the guessing when it comes to selecting the right wine for your feast.  From Gewurztraminers, Rieslings and Dry Rosé wines to more non-traditional options like wines infused with flavors of cranberries,
there is something for everyone’s table!

This event is hosted during the Fall in November right before the holiday season. The 2025 Turkey Trot will be daily, in November, from the 1st to the 26th from 12-5PM at each location.

Join Debonné Vineyards, Ferrante Winery & Ristorante, Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant, Laurello Vineyards, & Cask 307 Winery for wine sampling paired with the flavors of a Thanksgiving meal.

Patrons will visit each of the five wineries in any order they choose. Each winery will provide samples of their wines along with a delicious appetizer and recipes.

Carly’s Custom Hat Bar

At our hat bar party, you will first choose a felt flat brim hat, all adjustable in size. Then pick out your bat band, often layered to add an element of design. We have all colors, sizes and textures to choose from. Then choose accessories to add some flair (feathers, pins, burnt playing cards, etc)! We can hand stitch some embellishments. Finally choose designs to custom burn into the hat, the top and bottom of brim and hat itself can all be burnt! Choose from a catalog of designs, sayings, or even bring your own design idea! You are welcome to do as much or as little of assembling the hat. Some people like to give it a try while others enjoy picking the pieces and having us put it all together. Not a hat wearer? They also make a great wall decoration or customized gift (baby name in nursery, bride to be).

It’s time to get into the Spooky season at Grand River Cellars on Oct. 19th where you will get to make and take your own framed floral Witch themed painting with the use of real pressed flowers and ferns for textured final touches!

During this 2-hour creative event, your artist Cory will lead you step by step as you bring to life your own Halloween decor using acrylic paint, markers, and real preserved flowers and ferns!
Cory will lightly sketch out a witch hat for you prior to the class. You will be using acrylics on 11″x14″ watercolor paper. We will then put them in a frame for the final touch.

All supplies and step by step instructions, and your first drink are included in your ticket.

Grand River Haunted Wine Run 5K

Like Running or Walking?  Love Wine?  This race is for you! 

Join us on Sunday, October 12, 2025 for an annual “Halloween Themed” event that features the amazing scenery and landscape of Grand River Cellars! Due to the popularity of this event, we have 2 start times available at 9am and 11am (you will pick your wave time during registration).

Grand River wines boast a remarkable list of international awards and the business itself was chosen as Business of the Year and Best of the East. Whether you are looking to run, walk or just enjoy the wine this race is a sure thing for a great time and an incredible experience!  This race is timed and scored by J3 Timing. There will be vines, and there will be wines!

This is a mostly cross country style route and has areas of uneven footing.

If you’re looking for a personal best 5k time this is probably not the best course for you, but if you’re looking for the most fun time you’ve had at a 5k this one is for you!

The course is very suitable for both runners and walkers.   We offer a 2 lap course.  If you do not feel doing the course twice in the vines, you are more than welcome to step out after lap 1 and do more laps on the wines!  Cheers!

Northeast Ohio Autism Group (NEOAG) is a 501(c)(3) not for profit charity developed for the purpose of supporting the autism community in Northeast Ohio. Our main goal is to help make our local autism programs the best that they can be and develop new programs where they are needed. NEOAG provides financial assistance to schools, programs and services in the Northeast Ohio area that care for children and adults with autism, as well as to local autism research programs.

All proceeds from fundraising events and donations to NEOAG stay local to our own communities. With your help, we can make a direct impact in the lives of those with autism in our area and provide them with the best chance possible for success.

Join us at Grand River Cellars on Sunday October 5th to make a living succulent covered mini pumpkin gourd that will remain fresh throughout the rest of this year and beyond! Your instructor Maggie Fusco of The Wood Road Salad Farm in Madison has been making these adorable centerpieces to sell at farmers markets for many years and they are always a hit.  Maggie will supply all the materials you need to succeed including the perfect hard-shell pumpkins that keep for months, a variety of succulent plants, other fun add-ins, moss, and hot glue.  There will be three 1-hour sessions offered with a 10-person limit for each session to make sharing glue guns easier.  Sign up for sessions at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm. Plan to take your time, enjoy some wine and food before, during, and after your session!  Cost is $36.00 per person, which includes all materials plus a glass of wine.

The best thing about these cute little centerpieces is that there is almost no care needed to keep them looking fresh for months.  You can even plant the succulents in a pot later.

Framed Ghost with Pressed Flowers

It’s time to get into the Spooky season at Grand River Cellars in Madison on Sept. 28th where you will get to make and take your own framed ghost painting with the use of real pressed flowers and ferns for textured final touches!
During this 2 hour creative event, your artist Cory will lead you step by step as you bring to life your own ghost in the woods holding real flowers and ferns!
Cory will lightly sketch out your ghost for you prior to the class. You will be using acrylics on 11″x14″ watercolor paper. We will frame them for the final touch.
All supplies, instructions, and your first drink are included in your ticket.

The cost of each yoga class is $21.00 and includes a glass of wine following the class. This is a basic level of yoga; you will need to provide your own mat. The yoga class will last for one hour and the mingling can last for as long as you’d like.
