ABOUT GRAND RIVER CELLARS
Established in 1976 as the Grand River Wine Company, Grand River Cellars has evolved into a beloved winery and restaurant. Originally focused on producing high-quality vinifera wines, the winery opened its doors to the public in 1978 and quickly became a local favorite. In 2005, Madison Wine Cellars, Inc. purchased the winery and rebranded it as Grand River Cellars.
Visitors are greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere featuring hand-painted murals, a cozy fireplace, and a large bar area perfect for socializing. Outside you can find an expansive patio, including a separate dog-friendly pavilion. The winery offers a delicious menu, including appetizers, grilled sandwiches, and a variety of dinner options, making it the ideal place to relax and enjoy great food, wine, and company.
Grand River Valley
Located just five miles from Lake Erie, the gently rolling hills of northeast Ohio’s Grand River Valley are home to more than 30 wineries and lush vineyards. This growing region produces over 50% of Ohio’s grapes and is now known for acclaimed Pinot, Cabernet, Riesling, and Vidal rather than just Concord and Niagara. Tradition meets innovation here, where grape stomping festivals coexist with modern winemaking supported by university programs in enology and viticulture. Visitors discover award-winning estate and boutique wines alongside diverse culinary experiences, live music, and memorable settings—from waterfront views to historic churches and starlit patios.
Winegrowers of the Grand River Valley
The Wine Growers of the Grand River Valley is a collective of seven distinctive wineries united by a shared mission to educate wine consumers about the exceptional wines produced in this cool-climate region. The area’s sloping valleys, rich soils, favorable climate, and innovative winemaking techniques support the successful growth of diverse grape varietals and contribute to the region’s agricultural success and appeal. Today, the group produces outstanding wines from more than 400 acres of rolling vineyards, showcased throughout the year at events such as the Ice Wine Trail, Cask, Corks and Forks, and the Turkey Trot. Visitors to the wineries enjoy an educational, palate-pleasing experience that highlights a true taste of local excellence.

The Valley Wine Group is a collaborative effort to bring the best of the Grand River Valley to your door. Wines from prestigious estate wineries: Debonne Vineyards, Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant, South River Vineyard and Cask 307. Award-winning craft beer from Double Wing Brewing Co. We hope to make additional locally produced items from the Grand River Valley available to include in your orders. Our goal is to provide convenient affordable delivery of these high-quality products to our neighbors in Northeast Ohio. We currently deliver to residents of Ashtabula, Lake, Geauga, Cuyahoga and Medina Counties.
